COACHES

As coaches, it is sometimes easy to fall into the contradictory behavior of strongly promoting the value of coaching and the merits of the coaching process while at the same time, never hiring a coach ourselves. More than just getting the 10 hours of Mentor Coaching required for certification with the ICF, developing a long-term relationship with a coach specialized in helping coaches is a crucial part in the growth and sustainability of a coaching practice.
By engaging in an ongoing partnership with a coach who is up-to-date with the industry standards, YOU, as a coach, will be able to refine yours skills, clarify your business goals and maintain a steady energy for your practice.
In this Coaching for Coaches program, my mentee will have the opportunity to work on three important areas of coaching development and practice:
Skills Development (Mentor Coaching & Supervision)
In this area, you, as the Mentee, will be able to deepen your understanding of the Core Coaching Competencies as defined by the International Coaching Federation. Coaching Supervision is when I, as the Mentor Coach, listen to you in action while you coach your own clients. This will provide you with direct instructions, tips and suggestion on how to become a masterful coach – and how to best prepare and be ready for your certification process with the ICF. During this process, you will be able to go beyond the theories learned in the classroom and to refine the art of coaching right where it happens.
Business Development
There is a huge learning curve when establishing and maintaining a coaching business. How do you build your cliental? How can you develop and create your own identity as a coach? What are the necessary tools you must put in place? What are the legal implications? How can you develop your own business plan? What is your niche? These are just a few items you will be able to address in the Coaching for Coaches process.
Personal Foundation
As a coach, you will spend a good part of your life attending to others. It is imperative that you take time to work on your own personal needs so you will stay balanced enough to support your clients. A healthy coaching practice can only be attained with a healthy coach at the helm. In the Coaching for Coaches relationship we will create the space for you to develop and monitor your own Personal Foundation.
As you develop your coaching business and grow in your coaching skills it is very easy to become isolated and stagnant. The Coaching for Coaches program is the crucial part of your practice to support you in sustaining and growing your business. It should take a prominent place in your business plan, not only while in school and preparing for your ICF certification, but as an ongoing exercise for your practice.
